Never a dull moment in the life of an Avon Lady

As we are already speeding into March, all I can do is shake my head.

While delivering orders in Hibbing a couple weeks ago, the brakes went out on the Rosemobile.

Guess what? Brakes are kind of important, especially when the roads are somewhat slick, icy and snow-covered.

So, a tow to the repair shop, and then a two-week wait as the mechanic in turn waited for parts. 

Yes, folks, the struggle is real.

But I have the Rosemobile back, and have now started the search for a new-to-me vehicle. It’s never easy, as I have a tendency to get stupidly-attached to my wheels.

But I know it’s the right thing to do, so I am excited.

And then there’s the email debacle.

For several months, I have been absolutely slammed, and I mean slammed with spam emails. Up to 100 spam emails a day, unwanted and unneeded.

Do these ill-intended creeps really think I want to buy a *insert random product here* from their illicit link, or that I will willing give my contact information in response to a poorly-worded, sketchy, unsolicited email?

Not happening.

So, I have spent way too much time deleting emails, blocking email addresses, marking the offending emails as spam, and adding filters to attempt to block the ridiculousness that has overrun my inbox. 

As I’ve been deleting, I’m trying to make sure I don’t miss legitimate emails. So if you email me and I don’t reply, drop me a text. At least my phone hasn’t been flooded with spam text messages. 

Keeping my fingers crossed, there has been a lull in the battle over this past weekend. 

Could it be that I may not have to waste so much time on this unwanted deluge?

I can only hope.

But again, it is now March. That means warmer days are coming, the snow will start melting and spring will be here in the blink of an eye.

I think I’m going to start planning my flower beds.


 

It's a belated Happy New Year
